Founded by Carlo Bertani, MO-EL has been manufacturing electrical products since 1982 and is headquartered in Montecchio Emilia, a town on the right bank of the Enza River at the foot of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. This land is characterized by green fields, woods, small rivers, and canals. Winters are cold, while summers are warm and humid. Due to this climate, insects have always been a plague for the population and crops since the dawn of civilization.
In search of a solution to this problem, Carlo Bertani began observing the behavior of certain insects in the wettest areas. By testing various combinations of electrified grids and lamps, he developed an effective, robust trap that was also resistant to sunlight and rain: the CRI-CRI.
Today, our range of insect control products includes electric mosquito nets, suction traps, and devices equipped with sticky paper.
Certifications and Patents
Designed for the food industry, HACCP, agriculture, and the HO.RE.CA. sector, MO-EL devices are tested by qualified engineers and independent laboratories such as UL and IMQ. ISO 9001 certification ensures a high quality standard.
By collaborating with several Italian universities, MO-EL aims to create innovative and efficient products, as evidenced by the numerous registered patents.
