One year after the 2025 COP BRS, during which FAO strongly urged the reduction of the use of highly hazardous pesticides and the promotion of more sustainable agricultural practices, we at MO-EL have chosen to strengthen our commitment and intensify our research and testing activities.

Collaboration with the CAA – Giorgio Nicoli Agriculture and Environment Center and the academic world has proven essential in providing farmers with effective tools capable of reducing chemical treatments without compromising production yields.
From experimentation to field results
The trials conducted represent a concrete example of the application of the principles of integrated biological protection. Thanks to the use of our devices in greenhouses and open fields, crops were successfully protected.
The intervention at the Anzola Agricultural Company against Tuta absoluta on fresh tomatoes has yielded positive results. Similarly, the experience at the Biologicamente Laffi Farm on lettuce has demonstrated, through a dedicated study, how mass trapping can reduce insect pressure and limit the use of insecticides.
Effective technologies against insects and pathogens
Among the most significant results is the study on the mass trapping of the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys), which highlighted the effectiveness of MO-EL technologies in controlling one of the main European phytosanitary threats.
At the same time, MO-EL has developed an innovative ozone-based system for plant disease control. The results demonstrate that ozonated water can represent a practical alternative to traditional treatments.
An already applicable model, a challenge to scale
MO-EL’s experience demonstrates that integrated pest management is now a real operating system, capable of combining technological innovation, environmental sustainability, and agronomic results. The integration of UV-A and ozone technologies reduces insect and pathogen pressure while limiting the use of chemicals.
One year after the FAO recommendations, the direction is clear: the transition to more sustainable agriculture depends on the ability to transform research into concrete solutions. At MO-EL, we have demonstrated that this is already possible.
The next challenge is to climb it.
