In today’s agricultural world, talking about crop protection means ensuring productivity and quality while minimizing environmental impact and keeping costs low. At MO-EL, we believe the future of agriculture starts right here: effective solutions with no compromises for the health of our planet.
Since our beginnings, we have chosen to develop technologies designed to improve quality of life without relying on harmful substances. Today, this vision also translates into a concrete commitment to the agricultural sector, where the gradual elimination of chemical products requires innovative and reliable alternatives.
Targeted technologies for insect control
One of the pillars we are focusing on is the specialization of control systems. Not all insects are the same: each species responds to specific stimuli, such as certain light wavelengths or particular surfaces.
Thanks to our collaboration with the academic world and continuous field research activities, we are developing increasingly targeted solutions capable of selectively attracting and neutralizing insects that are harmful to crops. This approach makes it possible to intervene with precision, reducing the impact on beneficial insects and on the natural balance of the ecosystem.
The natural revolution of ozone
Alongside insect control, we are exploring with great interest the potential of ozone in agriculture. Ozone (O₃) is a form of oxygen with an extremely high oxidizing power, which can be generated with low electricity consumption.
Its use, whether in greenhouses or mixed with water for direct plant treatments, is effective against fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Unlike traditional chemical products, ozone, once it has completed its action, quickly reverts back to oxygen.
This means zero pollution and no accumulation in the soil.
Towards residue-free agriculture
Take, for example, the wine industry: decades of using copper and sulfur have led to soil concentrations that, in the long term, can become harmful to the plants themselves. The use of ozone represents a concrete alternative to combat diseases such as downy mildew, without compromising soil health.
At MO-EL, we see these technologies as a real opportunity to build a more sustainable agricultural model. A model in which innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental respect coexist, offering farmers effective and at the same time responsible tools.
Our commitment to the future
The future of crop protection will not be about compromises, but about balance. We will continue to invest in research and development to offer solutions that reduce the use of chemical substances, improve production performance, and leave an ever lighter footprint on our planet.
Because protecting crops also means protecting the future.
